Waterfront Walking Tours are back for the 2025 season!

The Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance, in partnership with Harbor WildWatch (an environmental education organization) and the Harbor History Museum are proud to offer these beloved tours to residents and visitors once again.

'Pints, Myths, and Maritime Spirits' tickets required
Monthly on the second Thursday |  March 2025
Ticketed: $30 ($10 for children under 12 years)

Pints, Myths & Maritime Spirits is an interactive and engaging tour that takes attendees on a journey through Gig Harbor's maritime history and lore, starting and ending with local craft beverages (included with walking tour ticket). Fit for all ages.

Tour Itinerary:

  • Gather at Heritage Distilling and enjoy a special walking tour drink.

  • Head to Skansie Brothers Park and enjoy special access inside the Skansie Netshed.

  • From Jerisich Dock, hop aboard the Veteran, a 100 year old purse seiner (commercial fishing vessel).

  • Visit Harbor WildWatch in the historic Skansie House for an exclusive presentation. 

  • Hear local lore about the historic Peninsula Hotel.

  • Make your way to 7 Seas Brewing to keep the conversation going and enjoy a well earned refreshment.

 

Things you should know before you go: 

  • This tour is less than 0.5 miles; however, attendees will walk, stop and stand for approximately one hour.

  • This tour is ticketed. The cost of ticket includes one beverage at the starting and ending location. 

  • The tours are led by devoted guides. Donations are welcome!

  • Tours run rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, we suggest bringing umbrellas, rain gear, hats, sunscreen, water bottles etc.

RETURNING SUMMER TOUR!' Wonders of the Waterfront'
Saturdays at 10am

June - August  |  Free, family-friendly

Wonders of the Waterfront is a weekly Saturday morning tour that explores the natural wonders of the waterfront while highlighting a bit of history along the way. Lead by Harbor WildWatch and Harbor History Museum guides, the 1.5 mile walk begins at Donkey Creek Park and journeys to the Maritime Pier, this tour is uniquely focused on the incredible diversity of life and natural history of the Gig Harbor waterfront.

 

Things you should know before you go: 

  • This tour is approximately 1.5 miles long; there is no transportation provided at the end of the tour. Attendees are responsible for their own return trip. 

  • This tour is completely FREE and led by devoted guides. Donations are welcome!

  • Tours run rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, we suggest bringing umbrellas, rain gear, hats, sunscreen, water bottles etc.

Waterfront Walking Tours offers a limited number of private guided tours each season. Tour dates/times are subject to guide availability. Private tour costs start at $10 per person and depend on group size. Please email info@ghdwa.org for a quote.
