Volunteer love, community events and your chance to hop aboard!

October is a big month for volunteers with the Waterfront Alliance.

From Sip & Stroll requiring hundreds of volunteer hours to our annual volunteer appreciation where we celebrate the hard work and dedication of Farmers Market and Flower Basket Watering crews, our appreciation and reliance on volunteers remains prominently top of mind as we settle into fall and the upcoming holiday season.

Young Hands, New Skills is back at the BoatShop!

Join the BoatShop on Monday, November 11th for a hands-on introduction to traditional boatwright skills designed for kids. Skills including ship caulking, hammering boat nails, using a spokeshave, using hand saws, and more! There will be stations set up around the joiner shop where kids will learn to use basic hand tools with one-on-one instruction from our experienced volunteers. Participants will develop an understanding of how each skill applies to traditional wooden boat building.

🤩 Thank you for following along with us and supporting the people and places that make Gig Harbor's Waterfront so charming and fun to visit. We appreciate you!
