Live Demonstration and Showcase Artists​ Application

In celebration of art and community, Chalk the Harbor will feature artists at locations throughout the waterfront business district. In partnership with local businesses or in outdoor booths, accepted artists will be promoted through the Chalk the Harbor Event Guide which will be widely and freely distributed online and in print format.

Showcase Artists

• Selected artists will be hosted by a waterfront business, similar to a Pop-Up, or they will be assigned to an outdoor area where they can set up a booth. The Waterfront Alliance will assign artists to location based on availability and on the artists requirements as able.

• Artists will spend the day showing and promoting their work within an established business or in an outdoor booth. Artists should expect casual interactions with visitors and can sell direct-to-customer if licensed to do so at events.

• Location priority will be given to artists who are able to provide Live Demonstration

  • demonstration time will be scheduled and promoted within the Chalk the Harbor Event Guide. 

  • demonstrations do not need to extend throughout the event but must be active for a minimum of 2 hours between 10am - 5pm.

  • Needs required for the artist to facilitate their demonstration (space, ventilation, electricity) will inform the Waterfront Alliance's placement of artist indoors / outdoors​
